Description
Following the Second World War workers of several nationalities were employed in the quarries and associated industries of Leighton Buzzard. Marley’s Tiles has a factory on both sides of the railway. This required a crossing and mirrors for drivers to see if a sand train was approaching. This sign was one of two designed to warn drivers and workers of the potential dangers. Apart from English, the languages are German, Czech and Pollsh.
