Description
This image is taken from Durlston Head and includes the coast line showing Old Harry Rocks which are three chalk formations, including a stack and a stump, located at Handfast Point, on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset. This is the Eastern end of the Jurassic Coast which is a World Heritage Site on the English Channel coast of southern England. It stretches from Studland Bay to Exmouth in Ease Devon, a distance of about 96 miles (154km), and was inscribed on the World Heritage List in mid-December 2001. The coast line of Bournemouth and beyond can be seen in the distance.
